Shahriar is from Italy and moved to the UK in 2013. He studied for a BSc in Mathematics, Optimization and Statistic at Imperial College London and then completed an MSc in Statistics and Data Science, also at Imperial College London. His Masters dissertation was on Poisson Point Processes and how to adaptively track them in the presence of changes in the system.
Following his Masters, Shahriah was a Data Scientist at the Competition and Markets Authority and worked on Fraud detection and Anomaly detection in Networks. He also worked as a Statistician at Lubrizol, developing clustering methods for chemical phenomena.
