After completing her BSc in Mathematics at the Technical University Berlin, Emily Ehrhardt moved to London to pursue her MSc in Applied Mathematics at Imperial College London. Early in her studies, she developed a focus on Machine Learning and its mathematical underpinnings. In her Bachelor’s thesis, she worked on statistical learning theory for Neural ODEs, while her Master’s thesis considered sparse Gaussian process approximations.
At StatML, she looks forward to deepening her knowledge of statistical learning theory and to exploring more areas of theoretical Machine Learning research.
She is a member of the Women in Maths committee at Imperial College, and in her free time she enjoys reading, going to the gym and playing video games.
