I first studied mathematics at Durham, where my final-year project focused on reinforcement learning. This sparked my interest in machine learning and led me to complete an MSc in Statistics at Imperial. My master’s thesis, carried out in partnership with NewDay, explored the use of topic modelling on their chatbot data, aiming to blend data-driven unsupervised methods with expert domain knowledge.
For the past two years, I’ve been working as a software developer, building analytics tools for the short-term energy markets. Returning to academia with StatML, I’m now collaborating with Shell to analyse large-scale datasets from EV charging stations, tackling both technical and behavioural questions with statistical and machine learning techniques.
Outside of work, I enjoy racket sports, board games, and eating delicious food.
